PRODUCTION: New Indian Film Shooting in Georgia
TBILISI: Praveen Sattaru's feature film PSV Garuda Vega is currently shooting in Georgia. The project benefits of the cash rebate scheme launched in Georgia at the beginning of 2016.
The film stars Raajesakar Varadarajan and is produced by India's Jyostar Enterprises PVT Ltd, with the Georgian Film Investment Group LLC providing services. According to the Indian producers, the budget in Georgia is approximately 316,320 EUR / 750,000 GEL.
Shooting started on 12 October and will wrap on 15 November 2016. Scenes were previously shot in Hyderabad, the capital of southern India's Telangana state.
Georgia opened its gates to foreign productions and welcomed two professional trips, of Hollywood and Indian producers, in 2016. Another two Indian productions directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, Kanche and Gauthamiputra Satakarni, were shot in Georgia in 2016. According to http://filmingeorgiatoday.com, production service in Georgia for Gauthamiputra Satakarni was provided by Location stock and Sarke Studio. Sarke Studio has also coproduced Kanche.
Foreign projects benefit from cash rebates offering 20%-25% rebates/incentives for productions interested to shoot in Georgia.
